Disgraced Former Penn State DC Jerry Sandusky (convicted child molester)

If the BoT is going to act decisively, I don't see how they can keep any of the assistants. From their perspective, "the right thing to do" may be to make decisions that don't take the football game into account, and those decisions after the fact may make playing the game impossible. I'd imagine most of them don't really care at this point.

I bet Matt Millen would step in and coach the rest of the season, and would probably be there tomorrow.

I imagine he feels betrayed like a lot of other people associated with the program do. He's spent years telling everyone what a great place and program it is publicly.

Imagine being a former player, you probably helped steer kids to go play there, and you find out this shit was going on? Pissed off wouldn't begin to cover it.

Saw interviews with Millen and Blackledge last night on the lead-in to the MNF pregame. Haven't seen anything recorded today yet. I cannot even wrap my head around what some of these former players must be going through.

Millen's gotta be thinking back to his playing days and reliving every good-job pat on the butt Sandusky ever gave him, or shower he ever took.
Really, this type of betrayal by Sandusky affects so many people. The abused kids, first and foremost (by far), but secondly, all those people around him are having their lives torn apart at the seams because of these revelations.

Can't imagine the amount of shock felt by everyone that was blindsided by this news (wife, family, former players, etc.).

Sandusky has created hell for many others and I can only hope their is a vengeful repayment worthy of his wrongdoings in the afterlife.

For all Paterno, McQueary, Curly, the VP and Spanier knew, they had no idea whether Sandusky was going full John Wayne Gacey on these kids. Still, they kept silent rather than damage The Legacy and program.

No, I don't feel a twinge of sadness or pity for JoePa having to go out this way.

It's totally Paterno's Personnel Empire and he calls the shots. He's not going anywhere but the front office. It will stay that way till he dies.

Would not surprise me if that event comes along abruptly. It's a horrifying way to see a lifelong legacy end, but Joe did it to himself. Sure am getting tired of biography titles with asterisks on them. Just so the media keeps it straight that none of the adults at Penn State, regardless of outcome, were the victims here.

And, Oh Gawd! ESPIN just ran film of Sandusky "playing" with his 2nd Mile kids--skating along behind a boy with his hands on the kid's shoulders, throwing a kid in the air, etc... 'scuse me, I may have to go vomit... :(

Get this too....

This is from the cops and the state attorney's office.

Wait until the NCAA gets hold of this one after the cops are done.

There will be no NCAA repercussions, in my imo. None. Nor should there be.

Much like drug violations/alcohol incidents/assaults have no NCAA repercussions. They're criminal activities and beyond the authority of the NCAA.

Don't believe that. All of this happened ON campus, in their offices, on their practice fields. Something's going to happen. If the NCAA did nothing at this point.......

Okay, guys...don't take this wrong, but here goes...

What was there that could be taken wrong there? I didn't see anything unreasonable or that could be construed as bashing Ohio State.

What can they do? Issue scholarship reductions because Sandusky promised kids they would be non scholarship walk-ons in exchange for letting him go "eyeball-to-belly button" on them?

Eh, he's just draft them 4 receivers and they'd lose by 50.

Oh, wait. Yeah, I don't know, I mean, my only point was the BoT needs take care of the business at hand, THEN, worry about Nebraska. I have no idea what the options would be.

not important in the scheme of things, but I can't help wondering how much more stuff they might have covered up for the legacy over the years.
