Disgraced Former Penn State DC Jerry Sandusky (convicted child molester)

I don't believe JoePa won't be allowed to finish out the year. It would shock me if their board grew the balls to oust him even over this ginormous shitstorm. I think they should, just don't see it happening.

I would have thought this a week ago, but any power he spent 6 decades building is now completely gone. He has no power anymore, not after this.

It's totally Paterno's Personnel Empire and he calls the shots. He's not going anywhere but the front office. It will stay that way till he dies.

Nope, he's gone, just a question of this week or the end of the season. Any power he had is gone, because he has no reputation to fall back on now.

Completely disagree. It's a state school. If it comes to it, the state's political delegation will lean on the BoT and have him ousted. No way he ends up in any office after this.

Lots of speculation from local press here in Nebraska that Saturday's game may be forfeited by Penn State. I cannot imagine that happening.

I don't think they'll forfeit, but they may end up with Ron Vanderlinden and 2 assistants coaching the game, because that's all that might be left.

If the BoT is going to act decisively, I don't see how they can keep any of the assistants. From their perspective, "the right thing to do" may be to make decisions that don't take the football game into account, and those decisions after the fact may make playing the game impossible. I'd imagine most of them don't really care at this point.

Okay, guys...don't take this wrong, but here goes...

So, when I look at the way that Coach Tressel was lamblasted (along with the entire tOSU family), it was unbelievable then. And that was with grown assed men (technically).

But....one HAS to know....that if what happened to Jim Tressel happened.....that if you multiply the wrong doings a bazillion times (because little children were involved)....

NOBODY....even the great Joseph Paterno.....is untouchable. All bets are off at that point.

Children can't defend themselves. Listen, I have two wonderful, beautiful little girls (8 and 5). Anybody messes with them, and I'm talkin to my wife on the other side of a glass. Seriously.

Here's the problem as I see it. Yes, they say that Joe Pa turned the information over to his superiors. That's what he was supposed to do. But the problem that he has is this.....why didn't he do MORE?!? That's the question that they're going to raise every....single....time.

Is that fair to say about him? Maybe. Maybe not. But if PSU fans thought lamblasting YOU guys about what happened in the offseason with the Tat 5 and JT....they got more than a shitstorm coming.

They got the 2012 of shitstorms on the way. All because children were involved.

That was true a couple of weeks ago.

Had he stood up in 2002, called the police and made a stand for the victim he'd be a hero. Instead, he's lost his power with his failure to act.

He's done.

Seriously, I know it is your opinion, but you cannot rationally hold that as a serious position in light of the revelations this week.

So, I assume you merely want to occupy the one spot on the game board marked "contrarian" - or else ....

I think any reasonable person who has proper perspective realizes any football game is meaningless in light of what's been going on in Happy Valley. It's gonna be a very strange vibe at Beaver Stadium if the game does get played...

Actually - for PSU they are "state-related" rather than a direcct state institution.

This won't save JoePa's hide - just wanted to state Penn State's state relationship in a clear statement.
