Re: Whats next Reply
The Second Mile is off free and clear - as are the state agencies that had the responsibility of monitoring Sandusky as a chief employee of the Second Mile.

These people were the primary reporters because they ALONE had direct responsibility for Sandusky for 11+ years. And yet, in all the trial summaries, all the news stories, the the "Sports" stories that are in the public's eye, NO ONE OTHER THAN PSU was even mentioned as having any responsibility - legal, moral or otherwise - in controlling JS ..

Assitionally, the 1998 handling of a police "sting" operation and the lack of legal prosecution NEVER WAS MENTIONED AS EVEN A POSSIBLE INFLUENCE on the way things were handled by PSU in the 2011(2002),

I'm sorry, but it would take me 40+ pages to go over all the tell-tail signs that expose this case for what it REALLY IS - an engineered political assassination, targeted at Penn State FOOTBALL and its "icon" coach - Joe Paterno.

This all being said, the damage is done and you can now only sit back and marvel how every new and on-going "investigation" will goose step into line and continue to ONLY focus on PSU (and more specifically Penn State FOOTBALL - or as is now becoming popular "the Football Culture at Penn State").

And yet, the others who had greater responsibilities and greater opportunity for removing Sandusky from being a threat to the public are getting off without a whisper. Get use to it...its the new definition of American Justice - your rights as a citizen are only as good as the size of your political contributions.

Re: Whats next Reply

I'm totally with you on this!

I see this whole situation as an opportunity to bring down PSU football and Joe Paterno in particular. But why? Was Joe against Corbett? Did he cause problems for someone in Harrisburg? Hell he took pressure off them to fund many non-athletic programs over the years not to mention his efforts to promote THON. Am I to assume Corbett was jealous?

Going forward I find it hard not to think the NCAA and/or The Big Ten conference will bring serious charges against the program including dismissal from the conference and potentially the death penalty. It is clearly beyond their jurisdication under current NCAA rules but the pressure on them nationally to do something will be enormous and their reputation is already on thin ice.

Another concern is the potential protests, demonstrations, boycotts, etc. our student athletes may face as they travel to other locations. The University may be forced to shut down the program for an extended period to let this cool down even if the NCAA does not bring charges. Yes it will crush the local economy and applications will drop but absent some consequence it will never go away.

In the end I am most disappointed in the leadership of this University. Why are they not doing more to defend the tremendous good that PSU brings to the world? Where is the positive message about how this tragic situation will be the motivation for on-going awarenous in exposing child motestation around the world. Where is the statement touting the good THON has done? Why do they sit there making just whimppy statements that act as if nothing good happens at PSU? Just makes me sick.

Yes I pray for the victims and hope this verdict can give them just a little peace that justice was served but saying everything is PSU's fault is truly a misread of what transpired over the past two decades when clearly other agencies with more direct responsibilities dropped the ball.

God Bless

Joe did as much as he legally could do. Times have changed in our world.. Joe didnt own the red bat phone we all think he did, especially in something as serious as a criminal matter such as this. Jerry Sanduskey was not an employee of Penn State nor was he under his management in 2001. All he could do was turn the matter over to the University authorities. Which he did and did promptly. Sanduskey was given permission and access to the facilities by the University, not Joe. That these administrators did nothing hits us all in the gut very hard, but to call Paterno an "enabler" because the AD, The Director of Campus Security and apparently the President of the University looked the other way is one mighty big stretch of the facts.
Holy hell. The fact that he was NOT a university employee means that the actions of these McQ, JoePa, Curley, and Co. is not governed by any state or federal labor laws. HE DIDN'T WORK FOR JOEPA!

Let's think about it like this....if McQ walked in on....let's say a janitor....molesting a child, what does he do? I would hope that the gutless bastard would do the right thing this time.

But hypothetically.....let's say he didn't. He went to JoePa the next day and told him that he saw a janitor molesting a boy in the showers. What would JoePa do? Would he say "I'll take care of it"? Or would he say, "Why the hell didn't you call the police, you twit?". And then call the police.

Ditto for everyone up the ladder. Can any of them say that they would have taken the exact same actions if it was Janitor Bob rather than Tickle-me-Jerry? I sure hope not.

That these administrators did nothing hits us all in the gut very hard, but to call Paterno an "enabler" because the AD, The Director of Campus Security and apparently the President of the University looked the other way is one mighty big stretch of the facts.
So JoePa did everything he could, but his bosses, who did just as much nothing, "turned a blind eye". No double standard there for their messiah. No sir. McQueary is a bad man for not doing the right thing. Curley & Co. are bad men for not doing the right thing. But JoePa, smack dab in the middle of these gutless assclowns, did nothing wrong.

I find the whole goddamned university in contempt.

That's right! We are trying a child molester on 51 counts just because we are jealous of PSU's moral superiority!

Just like Alyson Hanigan went out and got married in 2003 and now has two children. All just to make me jealous. Look lady, you are just trying too hard now. I'm married. I can't come back to you. Stop thinking about me already. :shake:

Seriously, these bastards are delusional.

This isn't an 'opportunity' to bring down Penn State- it did bring down Penn State. That's what happens when everyone associated with your program from the highest levels on down actively covered up and/or enabled (at best) a serial child molester.

So yes, your program is destroyed and you will be lucky if the damage from this is only being remembered as the "child rape" school for the rest of eternity.

Cover up child abuse > child abuser prosecuted and convicted > those who covered up or ignored/enabled are shamed and discredited for the rest of time. That is not a conspiracy theory, that is how the world works.

It is simply amazing that that simple reality will never be apparent to so many people blinded by their Penn State fandom.

No it wasn't about Dear Leader and his football program, you [censored]ing assholes. Not everything is about you and your goddamned overrated football program! It was/is about a grown man taking advantage of, and [censored]ing troubled kids....and, by extension, the [censored]ing cowards that enabled him. Jesus, those subhuman, mutant, pig beasts absolutely make my blood boil. Somebody just needs to firebomb Beaver Stadium next fall and makes these freaks extinct. :mad1:

Joe was just doing his job..he was just a coach..I call BS he had been there forever and with all his BS about 'Winning with honor' he had taken on the role of moral authority of the University. If anyone thinks the first time Joe heard of Jerry's thirst for young boys was by the ginger in 2001..he knew long before THAT at least 1997..if one of Joe's boys was in trouble the authorties always tipped Joe off first..maybe in 2012 Joe was a dodering old fool but before that he ruled that campus like the emperor..the Pedtards thought he was.

Win with honor = Having 'ol Jer step down while he was at the top of his game...

Clearly, JoBloPa knew how to win with honor.

"I'm sorry, but it would take me 40+ pages to go over all the tell-tail signs that expose this case for what it REALLY IS - an engineered political assassination, targeted at Penn State FOOTBALL and its "icon" coach - Joe Paterno."

I know I should be outraged at the audacity of the ped fans..I just can't stop laughing at this comment..it actually brought tears to my eyes. I guess I can just see how some secret organization convinced Jerry to create a program for kids, then convinced Jerry he should molest those kids.
Then with the help of hypnosis on Joe Pa and other Ped State admins kept the molestations going for years on end just so they could see Joe Pa get fired and die, have Penn State Football mocked for the next 1000 years, and have "The Tickle Monster" sent to prison. What an elaborate scheme it was indeed.
Of course all it cost the super secret organization was the lives of some poor kids....okay yeah, now I'm pissed again.

Same blank look he's had the whole time.

I'm surprised he's not wearing some PSU gear.
