Diet-Fitness-General Wellness Your Thoughts?

I've slowly been getting more out of shape since leaving high school and I'm pretty much at the point where I'm simply done with my current condition. I'm not huge or anything, but I used to be in shape and I'm not happy with where I am.

Anyways, I got together with a friend and got some diet tips. Getting some kettlebells tomorrow. Going to get this shit going. Wish me luck guys!

Good luck man! I was up to about 235-240 in July, I weighed in tonight at 200 lbs. My Next goal is to get down to about 190-200.

I'm stuck in a mini rut right now, haven't been losing over the past 2 weeks, and I know it's all because of my diet, I'll go days where I veer off the path a bit and just hurts everything I do at the gym

Nice work. I started a pretty drastic diet / exercise program on 1/8/13 and I'm down a net of 12 lbs. Started at 225-227. I wish I knew what my gross weight loss due to fat and positive lean muscle add is. The diet I'm using is two meal supplements (breakfast & lunch and a low glycemic 400-600 calorie dinner) with some other supplements along the way. Each of the first three (of four) weeks include two cleanse days. I'm combining it with between 350-500 worth of calorie burn on our exercise bike every day and resistance training added in every other day. At the end of it all, I'm down to a net of roughly 500 calories a day and have yet to feel hungry. I get the desire to have something to crunch on from time to time, but that's been the only downside... well that and no beer. :(

I have to say that I feel a million times better today than what I did when I started. My back pain (due to poor weight distribution) is almost completely gone. I'm hoping to be right at the 200 lb mark at the end of the first 30-days. Since the meal replacement hasn't been terrible and learning how to cook healthy portions / low carb hasn't been too bad, I'm seriously considering going another 30-days just to see if I can get down to the 185-190 mark. That's my stretch goal.

It will be interesting to try to figure out life moving forward. Finding the right food / calorie / exercise balance will take some experimenting. That all said, It's completely worth it.

Best of luck to all of you!

Anyone else here use myfitnesspal as a weight/calorie/exercise tracker?

I've been using it for the past 2-3 months or so and it's really helped me manage my food intake. Since I started it I've lost around 12 pounds (I had lost probably 7-10 already prior to that during the summer).
