Diet-Fitness-General Wellness Your Thoughts?

Yea it's a freak show, but it's worth going to if you want to see extremes people can push themselves to. I actually ran into chuck liddell years ago walking through one of the sky walks. Super cool dude. I've seen some buckeyes there every single year so that always makes it a little better.

Extreme is an understatement. Sometimes I question the sanity of certain individuals. I'll never forget the Croatian guy I saw last year. I don't give a shit what anyone says, there is no way that guy wasn't on some serious growth hormone. His shoulders alone we're disgustingly huge.

I'm just looking at a few of these guys and thinking to myself "If there are any women that find this attractive, you might as well just get fucked by a Grizzley Bear".

I'm not huge, but I'm not small/scrawny either - but when your biceps are arguably equivalent in size to my quads and overall thigh (Keep in mind I squat twice my weight)... I think its time to re-assess your fitness priorities.

I have a great idea......instead of eating healthy, whole foods, proper veggies and fruits, and doing some stress reducing cardio and resistance exercises who don't we: Eat Egg McMuffins and Reese Puff breakfast cereal, for lunch eat have a Big Mac or two, fries and a extra large soda, have a mid day snack of Doritos and a snicker or two, for dinner have a huge steak, baked potato with sour cream and butter, garlic bread, and a side of Mac and Cheese. Right before bed have a slice or two of pizza and another large Dr. Pepper. Rarely get off the couch but exercise your thumbs to text and video game and you will be a world class coach potato.

But make sure you have a government program to give you everything you need and oh...make sure a top notch heart surgeon will work for minimum wage.

Yes that is a parody, but I often see something akin to this scenario.

Anyone make their own dressings? Difficult? What's the benefit between making and buying a finished dressing?

I'm trying out a olive oil & vinegar right now. It's pretty good. Wish it were a tiny bit sweeter, but naturally sweet, not added sugar

Lower sodium, save money. I've recently discovered sunflower oil.

I've found balsamic vinegar and a splash of sunflower oil. Pretty good.

Good to know. The olive oil & vinegar still has a bunch of empty calories. 150 cals/2 tbsp, 16g fat, 150mg sodium, 1g sugar. Looking to lower that if I could.

Anyone else here use myfitnesspal as a weight/calorie/exercise tracker?

I've been using it for the past 2-3 months or so and it's really helped me manage my food intake. Since I started it I've lost around 12 pounds (I had lost probably 7-10 already prior to that during the summer).

My better half and I are using it and follow each other on the application. This help drive accountability.

Perfect example, I ate a cookie that someone brought to the office and uploaded it to the app. Withing 15 minutes I had a text message from her saying "Peanut Butter Cookie, eh?"

Keep in mind there are benefits to extra virgin oil including omegas
And good oleic acids.

Are there better olive oil based dressings than the one I posted, or is that about the norm?

Started a Primal diet two summers ago. Dropped 35 lbs, got within 10 of my playing weight in college. Plateaued a bit (and didn't make enough changes... er additions... in my exercise habits), but generally maintained within 5-7 lbs.

Did well for the most part, with the 80/20 split. The holidays are usually a little rough, but it usually comes off easily. This set of holidays book-ended a 4 week cold/flu which required a lot of popsicles and other items to survive. It's taken a while to get back on the wagon but it's working again.

So I started a diet on Tuesday. It's a very low sodium/sugar diet (really its a cleansing diet). Essentially eating about 1,000 calories a day. (Lots of veggies/salad/water/etc). I weighed myself Monday afternoon and was at 224.

I weighed in this morning at 213 same scale. So the diet is working, but I also think that 224 is an outlier.
