Diet-Fitness-General Wellness Your Thoughts?

Not doing this diet at all, but it worked like crazy in short term.

Short version, no food on Mondays. Only black coffee allowed other than water.

Longer version. Learned this diet from a lady stripper who had never tried it, but knew other strippers who had. I also graphed my weight out daily and noticed I would trend down all week long and then fatten up over the weekend. Probably had something to do with the chicken wings, beer, gambling, strippers and what not from Thursday to Sunday. Well I could give up that, but yeah right. So I stopped eating on Mondays by pure accident to start with. I was too busy in morning, and at work, too tired after work, woke up late on the couch, said screw it and went to bed with an empty belly but still literally and figuratively full of shit.

Worked like a charm and so easy to do. Also it seemed to shrink my tolerance to overeat the other six days. Good shock program with a lot of risk of gaining it back. Add a little discipline, hey I saved it up in getting fat I figured, and you can keep it off after.

Side effects: I was worthless in the gym until I stopped the diet and had an attitude often on Mondays.

Wrong thread there bud...did you lose weight because of the cold?

My bad. Must have misread the "Fitness" part of the thread title.

I've been trying to run about 20 miles a week as part of my weight loss goal, which has been increasingly difficult with this weather. It takes everything I've got to go run 5 miles at 6 am when it's 13 below.

Running isn't part of fitness or general wellness?

 my bad, I missed the run part, and thought that you were trying to post your weather update in the "How's the weather?" Thread lol

Running in that cold of weather is not fun

Hey, running in the cold burns more calories.

Winter running burns more calories. True or False. Sorry, put the french fries down. Unless you?re running through snow or mud, you?re not burning any more calories than when you run in any other season. Sure, research shows that shivering and very heavy clothes do cause you to burn more calories. But by ?heavy clothes,? researchers are talking about army boots and hiking gear, not your winter shell with titanium thermo-regulating technology.

I've been dealing with some tender elbows lately, perhaps tendonitis? I bought an elbow brace, it helps. When I really notice them is when I'm doing something that stresses them, I almost get a burning sensation.
