no, the new cba is expected to allow teams to 1-restructure on the cap or buy out at a restructured cap hit or swap players with restructured caps.The Red Wings do it again...
They signed Franzen on an 11 year 43 (or so) million dollar contract. While the beginning of the contract will be paying him something like 5 million per year for the first 7 years, the last 4 years are essentially 1 million per which (due to the joke that is the NHL salary cap) reduces the cap hit to under $4 mllion per year.
