They've been trying to run one all along. Just doesn't work when the entire interior of yhe OL is being pushed into the RBs lap soon as he gets the ball. Green was somewhat effective against NW. But their DL and our DL aren't even remotely comparable. So does this mean scum is ditching their current offense for a power game. ? Funny.

1998. Minus 4 yards. That may have been the team number, not just Thomas, I don't remember for sure. But, Brady also threw for 375 yards that day. Germaine only had 330 or so, 200 of which Boston caught.I know you said overall, but I'm fairly certain that tOSU held Anthony Thomas to negative rushing yards once
Not worried about Green in the least. He will not go off on this defense. He can't get to the edge quickly enough, and no way he runs inside on us with their O line and our D line. Our DL is still very young. Every single one of them makes plenty of mistakes. I can see them getting better every week, but I think when there is a decent threat of the pass, we are very frangile both inside and outside. The other problem is if Shazier can not get there, the rest of the LB's take bad angles and don't seal the edges and gaps very well yet. Additionally, and again outside of Shazier, our LB's and DB's seem to get to a spot about 3 yards from the RB and sit and wait for the RB to get to them. I guess this is because of youth, the coaches would rather have them give up a couple rather than miss the tackle and give up a bunch. This is not very good when you are plqying a big RB though, unless he is also very shifty, which i don't think Green is at this point. So we have to play solid, and aggressive gap control. When Spence is in he'd better seal the edge for the run first and then rush the QB. He is the worst with regard to this at this point. Of course we have to find a good balance betwwen all that and rushing and sealing the edges with respect to Gardner.
