I think it’s clear that Da yhas identified what has made some of the SEC powers so strong. And he has blown up the defense and hasn’t stood pat hoping for little changes.

Don’t act like a Clemson fanKnowles is getting the band back together. He's on a mission from God (Day).
Do you do drugs Danny??So many changes are being made we are getting to the point the odds are better that some are good, than the odds they all suck.
So we’ve got that going for us.
Which is nice.
If we get anywhere near the improvement from our boys as is possible, this season is going to be a lot of fun.
“I certainly considered (just making small tweaks) and considered a lot of things and thought long and hard on it and it weighed heavy on me, but I felt like a fresh start was the right thing to do,” Day said
I feel you but I do think it is a bit more subdued than he might say otherwise. I'd say cutting Coombs loose was an emotional trial where the other's weren't really. They're gone so he has no reason to beat the dead horse. Beat the live one if they fuck up though there's no room for even mediocre now. Dudes better be the real deal starting this Spring. You watched, arguably, one of the worst defenses ever fielded at Ohio State be repeatedly and savagely humiliated with the money shot being an L in The Game right in your fucking eye and you had to think about it?
I'm going to chalk that comment up to being civil to the dearly departed but it's a little scary. Not going to lie.
I realize your role here is to express the most concern for Day and his decision making but perhaps you missed his comment “I really wanted to start fresh”You watched, arguably, one of the worst defenses ever fielded at Ohio State be repeatedly and savagely humiliated with the money shot being an L in The Game right in your fucking eye and you had to think about it?
