What I meant with that statement though is that it's surprising to me how some legendary coaches (e.g. Tressel, Meyer) can be so successful without being relentlessly cut throat with holding their assistants accountable for results.
Not so much that it hadn't been seen before. In fact, it's could possibly be more common than not. There's only one Saban and one Belichick.
