Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

Why is everyone assuming he isn't already dead?

I actally hope Joe Pa lives to be a hundrend and ten. That way we dont wake a possible sleeping giant. Penn State recruits well and Joe Pa doesnt even get out to do visits. Somebody new in there could really bring Penn St. back to life. Go Joe Pa....live on....plus he is a cool old dude. Go Bucks

What many people here still fail to grasp is the intricacies of Penn State academics. The professor of Eastern Studies at Penn State is none other than Alexei Ivanovich Abrikosov. He who embalmed and zombified Lenin in the USSR.

Professor Abrikosov and Paterno were friends back when they were children (in the 1800s). Privately, Professor Abrikosov's daughter has admitted not only that Paterno was often at their house, but that after a "sabbatical" with Mr. Abrikosov, Paterno emerged. . . different.

The facts are before our eyes. I will provide links later upon request, but I don't really want to be the one to break the news to everyone.

Paterno is a zombie.

Meh - If that were true, we'd be hearing some rumors of brain-eatings coming out of State College, PA. Even in the small-town media, where Penn State controls everything from the crossword puzzle to the obituaries, I think we'd get SOME news leak out.

I still think he's a robot. He's a slightly newer, slightly more advanced robot than Dick Clark.

**Big10 Newb Question**

Wouldn't it be safe to assume that you'd want him to remain in the position as long as possible - if only because it affords you a pretty significant recruiting advantage over Penn State?

it cuts both ways, without Paterno, the name brand of Penn State drops significantly, if the new coach fails to put together some good seasons right away they could become a backwater school (too country for Terrelle Pryor to go there) that doesn't have much going for it other than a really big stadium and possibly good facilities (anyone know what kind of facilities Penn State has?)

as it is, their recruiting in western PA (a major recruiting base) has dropped off of late and without Paterno they may drop off on the east coast as well

so yeah, it could go either way

I don't think Joe Pa hurts Penn States recruiting one bit..

I do like Joe Pa - I hate Penn State don't get me wrong - but I admire Joe Pa and respect the hell out of him. I hope that I will be as fortunate to die doing something I love.
