Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

I know where they can get about $100,000.00 of that $60 million:

Paterno averaged roughly 6.5 wins per season over his PSU career.

BOB will be lucky to match that -Temple not withstanding.
Paterno was 247-67-3 prior to joining the Big 10
Paterno was 162-72-0 From 1993 to 2011
Ironically, after getting those 112 wins vacated from '98 to '11, his Big 10 record from 1993 - 1997 was 51-10-0

Since they don't vacate losses (I'm sure BB73 will correct me if I'm wrong, :P), Joe Paterno's record in Big Ten Play is: 51-72

Billy O'Bannigan will be hard pressed to even match THAT!

Sexual abuse is reprehensible, especially when it involves children, and no one starting with Joe Paterno condones or minimizes it. The horrific acts committed by Jerry Sandusky shock the conscience of every decent human being. How Sandusky was able to get away with his crimes for so long has yet to be fully understood, despite the claims and assertions of the Freeh report.
Nope....it's pretty easily understood. Your husband/father lead the charge to cover up his crimes in hopes that he wouldn't do them again. Shit in one hand, hope a child molestor doesn't molest children in the other......see which one fills up with 4 years of bowl bans, -$60mil, -211 wins, and the loss of scholarships first.

The release of the Freeh report has triggered an avalanche of vitriol, condemnation and posthumous punishment on Joe Paterno.
How the fuck do you "punish" a dead person? Oh....I forgot the importance that you people put on his win record that was phony as shit before the NCAA penalties.

The NCAA has now become the latest party to accept the report as the final word on the Sandusky scandal.
Oh I'm sorry....you weren't paying attention when the NCAA said they reserve the right to hit Penn State even harder after the current litigation against Penn State administrators is over. This is very likely NOT the final word.....but you should probably wish that it is.

The sanctions announced by the NCAA today defame the legacy and contributions of a great coach and educator without any input from our family or those who knew him best.
Why in the fuck would the NCAA give 2 shits what you people have to say about your husband/father/friend? Of course the people who "knew him best" are going to stick up for him, that's how life works. I submit to you clueless morons that you people who think you "knew him best" didn't really know him at all. Or maybe you did, which makes you even worse than you already are.

That the President, the Athletic Director and the Board of Trustees accepted this unprecedented action by the NCAA without requiring a full due process hearing before the Committee on Infractions is an abdication of their responsibilities and a breach of their fiduciary duties to the University and the 500,000 alumni. Punishing past, present and future students of the University because of Sandusky's crimes does not serve justice. This is not a fair or thoughtful action; it is a panicked response to the public's understandable revulsion at what Sandusky did.
Almost. The public is also disgusted by your husband/father's acts that not only allowed, but helped Sandusky continue to prey on children for at least 14 years. At least. Joe Paterno was certainly not alone in this, be he also certainly made sure it was covered up.

The point of due process is to protect against this sort of reflexive action. Joe Paterno was never interviewed by the University or the Freeh Group.
What would have been the point? So he could lie like he did in his last public interview....or like he did in his Grand Jury testimony?

His counsel has not been able to interview key witnesses as they are represented by counsel related to ongoing litigation.
Good. The US Judicial system takes precedence over what the Paterno family wants when it comes to fucking up ongoing litigation. Newsflash: Joe is dead....people aren't bending over backwards for the Paterno family any more. Thank God.

We have had no access to the records reviewed by the Freeh group.
Why would you?

The NCAA never contacted our family or our legal counsel.
Why would they? Who the fuck do you people think you are?

And the fact that several parties have pending trials that could produce evidence and testimony relevant to this matter has been totally discounted.
Again...no it hasn't. I don't know what kind of glue you're sniffing that makes you think pending testimony is going to clear Joe's name...but you might want to get a business model together to start selling it. I have a feeling the demand for such a product in State College will sky rocket, and you're going to need the extra cash.

Unfortunately all of these facts have been ignored by the NCAA, the Freeh Group and the University.
You forgot to capitalize FACTS.

I guess the other thing I see here BN27 is that the Paterno family acts like that the NCAA is just punishing Joe/Family when it is more than that. This isn't just about what Joe Pa did or didn't do, it is about what the entire organization did/didn't do. Talk about sanctimonious righteous bastards.

I think the family is just pissed that the free ride and demigod status of their surname is no longer.

That family seriously needs to shut the fuck up and just wait until all the legal, civil, and federal (DOE on the Clery act) cases are done because the more they spout now, the worse they are going to look later. Dear Leader's family wasn't privy to the dark side of the paterfamilias, and I think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg as to how deep Il Pa Joe was in this.

See, this is where it get complicated for you cult members to understand. Sandusky was punished for his crimes. Well, he hasn't been sentanced yet, but he will be soon enough.

The punishment issued today is for the cover up that JoePa initiated - not the Tickle Monster's crimes.

Joe received his punishment, the BoT killed him. Like Gandhi and Nathuram Godse.

Are you likening Gandhi to Joe Pa? Gandhi is a Mahatma, or a "great soul" in Sanskrit. As an American of Indian heritage, I take great offense to that. Retract that statement.
