DE Robert Rose (Official Thread)

And, as Mili said above, he is playing on obvious passing downs. No need to worry about stopping the run or anything else.

yeah, but you look at the sacks...hes not using his speed...hes just blasting the guys backward then throwing them off of him, and then getting to the qb and tossing him down...

remember the first two games...people were like...are we gonna see rose? is he gonna redshirt?

Freshman defensive end Robert Rose is the king of the blowout. Though he's played only when games were out of reach, the Glenville grad is third on the team with 3.5 sacks. He shared a sack on Saturday as soon as he got into the game. With the Buckeyes already four deep at defensive end, it seems like we won't see much of him when it matters. But wait till next year.

Next year is going to be sick. I think we only have 10-12 seniors next years team and maybe, Ginn back to

Not necessarily--there were only 13 seniors in 2002, and the results were pretty good. As for Ginn, I agree--he stays on. He seems to be the only one who's not saying he's leaving.

I think we see Rose in the mold of Darrion Scott, Kenny Peterson, David Patterson, etc. who played both outside and inside. His versitility will not only help him see the field more, as a Sophmore, but will also allow others playing time as well.
