DE Jack Sawyer (All B1G)

How impressive that open field tackle was is really understated. That QB was an excellent runner and gave us fits the whole game. Jack stayed home and showed serious athleticism cutting him off and eventually getting him down behind the line of scrimmage. We want more.

Harrison made an equally impressive play chasing him down but it was negated by a holding call on Banks.

Hope he is doing OK. Left the Nebraska game with some sort of chest injury. Didn't see him return.

True freshman defensive end, Jack Sawyer has been seeing an increase in snaps each week and has been somewhat pivotal to the improvements this defense has made and is a key part of the defensive end rotation. Up to this point in the season, Sawyer has honestly been the third most reliable end on the roster. He has accounted for one sack today and a few pressures, but has suffered an abdomen injury and the extent of which is unknown.

Maybe something will come out at one of the press conferences this week (and it will be good news).
