Bryant Is A Buckeye
By Alex - January 26th, 2010
Buckeye fans have been waiting for a while for Cleveland Glenville defensive back Christian Bryant to make his college decision. Today, at a 3 PM press conference at his school, Bryant announced that he will play for Ohio State in the fall.
Bryant narrowed down his offer list to his two favorites in Ohio State and North Carolina recently, but also held offers from Michigan State, Tennessee, Virginia, Stanford, WVU, and other top programs in the nation. He becomes the 17th member (18th with Carlos Hyde) of OSU?s recruiting class and projects as a safety after playing all over the secondary on defense and at a multitude of positions on the offensive side of the ball during his career as a Tarblooder.
Bryant is the 3rd defensive back to commit to the Bucks, although Verlon Reed will most likely switch from quarterback to safety shortly after he enrolls at school. This was a big get for the Buckeyes as it extended the Glenville pipeline and added an extremely talented player to the secondary that lost two safeties to graduation this year in Kurt Colemand and Anderson Russell.

Defensive back Christian Bryant of Cleveland (Glenville) became the 18th member of Ohio State's 2010 recruiting class when he committed to sign a national letter of intent with the Buckeyes on Feb.3.
Considered a blue-chip prospect at cornerback, Bryant picked OSU over North Carolina, Tennessee and several other schools. He is the second potential cornerback to join the class in the past two weeks, joining Bradley Roby of Suwanee (Peachtree Ridge), Ga.
Bryant, 5 feet 11, 175 pounds, is ranked No.8 nationally by Scout.com and No.10 by rivals.com among cornerback prospects. He announced his choice at Glenville this afternoon.
