Confirmed: UM's Turner did not graduate, now at TSUN

and honestly....there's only a little bit wrong with doing this. my ridicule (and possibly yours) comes from the fans who claim that their noble institution doesn't do that? Shit....didn't they sever all ties with Harbaugh for just stating it out loud?

I'm gonna have to look that up - I know I made a note in my day-timer when that happened.

Yes, that is my point. UM gives as much if not more special treatment to football players, but act like they are Harvard and would have nothing to do with giving football players easy classes.

Bike Hart went off on Harbaugh...guess what Hart's major was.

Hope this is a rumor, no matter what school he went to. An Ohia guy, well, you want better for him than not to get where he wanted to go. Yes, I too think that Meatchicken give it the 'holier than thou' approach to academics. I seem to recollect that under Coop, OSU went after some marginal academic types who could play football...... With Tress, if you haven't got the grades, you don't come (and indications are that if you're not a good 'citizen' then you ALSO don't get to go to OSU). The academics indicates why we did not go after a 5* db a tad harder than we did. Once again, Tress & Co knew something that we didn't (or at least some of us recruiting hangers-on who don't have the inside poop like some of the 'elite' posters here).

Anyway, hope that he goes to a JUCO and can become academically eligible, and prepare himself to be a student-athlete, instead of a hired-gun (athlete) at another school. Football lasts oh too short a period, then you actually have to enter the 'real world' of the workplace.

I'll get down off my soapbox now........

The deal with the OGT is that you have three years of school and 5 chances to pass all sections.

Sophomore- 1
Junior/Senior- 2 each

That he hasn't passed it by now does not bode well for him on his 'emergency chance' option. This will be his last chance to pass it until next fall, at which time he will be ineligible to play for Michigan.

This is much more serious than just not getting into UM as it deals with not even graduating. Not much you can do without a high school diploma.

I'm sure he will pass eventually, it just remains to be seen when that will be.

Part of me doesn't want to see him pass it because of what it would do to all the scUMers but for the kid's sake, I'll go on the record as saying I hope he passes.
Still weird that a kid is able to pull a 3.4 GPA but not pass the OGTs. Seems fishy to me.
