This might be the movie Burton was born to make. I'm interested.

It's got a great cast: Helena Bonham-Carter as the Red Queen, Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Christopher Lee as the Jabberwocky, Crispin Glover as his usual nutjob self... Sweet!

I was reading about it after I saw your post...not gonna lie, I'm having nightmares about The Red Queen, and I haven't even been to sleep yet.

I love the subject matter, I have a huge fan of all variations on the story. This version is based on the dark video game version that came out years ago. I had a hard time playing it but I loved the graphics of it. Looks like they are doing what they can to reflect that in the movie.

I adore this cast. Burton is a freak and rarely falls down on the job with his movies in my opinion. I am very much looking forward to this extravaganza.

Christopher Lee is hilarious in "Little Britain", I think that casting choice is brilliant. I could watch Crispin Glover have coffee and a donut and have a good time.

Do Johnny Depp, Helena Bohnam-Carter, and Tim Burton all have contracts that say they can only do movies together or what?? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd off the top of my head...any more?

Anyone else think Public Enemies looks like it might be a dud? Nothing about it looks special in the trailer.

I can't really respond to this question without bias. It has Bale and Depp, and is directed by Michael Mann. And it's a crime drama.

Maybe the best combination of things so far this year. :tongue2:

Lets not act like he isn't capable of a crappy movie.

The cast, director, and plot seem great but the trailer doesn't really make me interested in seeing it. Looks like a mediocre effort from Depp.

I hope it's good. Definitely looking forward to some reviews from people on here after they see it.

American McGee baby. Hells yeah. Cant wait to see this. and honestly I could watch Depp stare at the camera for 2 hours and I'd be entertained. the man is ridiculous. personally thought the last 2 pirates movies sucked ass, but he was in em, so I enjoyed em. Chow Yun Fat helped out the 3rd one also, but he died way too fast and didnt kick near enough ass.

What was I talkin about?

Oh yeah, Depp rules.

Tim Burton is married to Helena, and I believe Helena dated Depp. They all hang out. Seriously, can you imagine a Burton flick without those two? They are PERFECT for anything his fevered brain can imagine.

Danny Elfman is another guy Tim Burton uses constantly. Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mars Attacks!, both Batman's, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, the Pee Wee Herman movie.......off the top of my head.....
