That was a GREAT book. It has a good cast, but I don't know much about the director. Seems like it would be pretty difficult to [censored] up Cormac McCarthy, but you never know. If it's anything close to 'No Country For Old Men', though the book was better than the flick, it'll be very good. I'll definately check it out. I'd have loved for the Coens to do it too.

Judging from the trailer they've already f'd up a major part of the book by having an explanation for the apocalypse. And, though I love Charlize Theron, she had more lines in the trailer than the character had in the book. But I still believe the story is so good that they can mess with it a bit, to make it more cinema friendly, and still have a good finished product I hope.

Sci-fi post

District 9 looks awesome and is getting overwhelmingly positive feedback. I'm pretty pumped for it.

We'll see a trailer for Avatar on August 21. From what I've been reading about it, it's evolutionary as far as visual effects go. Also read that James Cameron probably has the visual and sound awards wrapped up already.. looks like this film is going to be epic.

I think the trailer could be better, but you can still tell that the movie could be something great. The CGI is very good. They've been touting it as revolutionary/photorealistic, which I wouldn't say is true, but it's still really good.

There's a 15-20 minute preview in theaters tomorrow in 3D. Pretty sure all showings are sold out. There were two in Columbus. Couldn't get tickets because I was at work.

The Expendables (2010)

Terry Crews cracks me up. Particularly his work on "Everybody Hates Chris". Hilarious guy.
