New Crew midfielder Mirosevic finding his feet quickly

Mirosevic, 31, made his preseason debut Tuesday with the Crew at the Super Kick/TeamZone indoor facility after signing a multi-year contract on Jan. 4.

?He tries to make goals outside the box,? defender and fellow Chilean Sebasti?n Miranda said. ?Last year, we didn?t shoot a lot outside the box. Maybe he can help with that.?

The Crew acquired Mirosevic to not only improve the offense, but provide leadership after he captained Universidad Cat?lica of the Chilean first division for the past three seasons, scoring 46 goals in 108 games during that span.

The Crew just released (very suddenly) they will be carrying a press conference live on thecrew.com at 2pm to make a "major club announcement". No other details given. Very curious as to what this pertains to. Sponsor? DP??

It would be nice if it were a major sponsor or DP, but my guess is that they'll announce the switch to Fox Sports Ohio for their local broadcast. That would be great, because ONN has a shit picture, and I want to see my Crew games in HD, if I can't be there live.

Please let this be true. My wife will hate it because I would actually want to watch the Crew on TV for a change, but she'll get over it.

Considering the season is less than a month away, I'm going to say it's to announce next season's sponsor. Pretty excited either way.

Any guesses IF it is to announce a new sponsor?

My top 3 in no particular order.

1. Huntington Bank
2. Nationwide Insurance (big time long shot, due to all the sponsorship they already have in Cbus)
3. Simply Pure Milk (I know they aren't a major sponsor, but they have been discussed as a potential candidate)

Glad it's a sponsor that doesn't have a GIANT shield like Glidden did. Their sponsor took up a third of the entire kit. Barbasol looks classy, and dare I say that it makes the away kit more tolerable. Hopefully Milovan Mirosevic can make the away kit look awesome by scoring lots of goals!

Also, something tells me that if they do announce a switch from ONN to Fox Sports Ohio, they won't have a big press conference like that. An announcement maybe, but not with a live stream and whatnot.
