Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

And the draft is a lottery anyway right? So even if they don't win another game they aren't guaranteed the number one pick. So now we know they aren't going to get the number one pick because if it wasn't for bad luck this team would have no luck at all.

But Scott Howson says he's hoping their luck will change next season.:bonk:

Yes.. but it's a little different. The worst team in the league technically has a 25% chance of winning the lottery. But only the bottom four teams can have the #1 overall pick. That moves the odds to a little under 50% for the worst team.

Occupy Nationwide on Saturday January 28 from 2-5 pm.

The movement is in response to ownership apparently sticking with Scott Howson and Mike Priest.

Seems to be picking up steam. I'll be there.

Supposed to wear Jackets gear and bring whatever signs you want.

EDIT Oh, and it's at Nationwide Arena, in case you didn't get that from the title!

Carter is "100% available" according to Darren Dreger (he's a legitimate hockey source if you're unfamiliar).

Terrible idea to trade him after he's only played 30 games. I don't care if he's unhappy, tell him to suck it up and show his talent so he can be traded for something good (again).

Need about 10,000 people out there to make a difference.

Remember the Pirates fans tried something similar to this with a walkout or something a few years ago and it didn't work. Owners were making too much pocketing $34 million a year

How many people actually showed up for this? They kinda threw this to side when they announced the NHL All Star game will be here next year.

We definitely got hosed out of at least one point in LA the other night. Luckily, we've pretty much locked up the #1 pick in the draft.

I'm very interested to see what the front office is going to do before the trade deadline and after the season. I've heard rumors that we might be shipping off around 6-8 guys.

The only players I really see moving are Vermette and Prospal. I don't think they'll move Carter unless someone is willing to give up what the Jackets gave up. Other organizations are going to want the BJs to suck up some of that contract too.
