Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Mistakes cost us yet again... too many penalties. They had what like 3 goals on the powerplay against us 2 were with a 5 on 3 if I remember right. We should have won, but we only have ourselves to blame. The officiating was interesting tonight to say the least. Even though we lost, at least we got a point out of the whole affair

ST. PAUL, Minn. ? The Minnesota Wild beat the Blue Jackets 4-3 in overtime in the Xcel Energy Center last night. Nobody saw the winning goal cross the goal line. Rather, it was deduced.

Just thought I'd add a little tidbit... The Dayton Bombers STOMPED Toledo Storm tonight at the Nutter Center 6-0... The Bombers are looking VERY strong! Also got to meet Lane Manson, he's 6'9'' off skates!!!! :yow2:

The Blue Jackets had a longer-than-usual cool-down period Friday night after they lost 4-3 to the Minnesota Wild on a controversial overtime goal. Actually, "cooldown" might be the wrong term in this case. Likely, there were some heated words in the locker room. Surely, coach Ken Hitchcock got a few things off his chest.

They can be resplendent with speed, skill and scoring, with hair flying behind the forwards? helmets and the goaltenders flashing their pads and the fans rising from their seats to hold their heads and say, "wow." Last night?s game in Nationwide Arena was not one of those.

Blue Jackets players have something in common with those who work in corporate America: a new boss means more meetings. Under coach Ken Hitchcock, hired Nov. 23, the Blue Jackets have an 11:15 a.m. meeting on game days, roughly 15 minutes after the morning skate is finished.
