The fact that Carter didn't get some minor injury almost makes last night a failure. The fact that he scored sickens me.

That said...I am loving this team. Murray is a machine and RyJo is developing into a force. Love the way they are playing right now.

Any chance that Mason will be in net tomorrow night?

(Besides the wild card) with this win they are actually in 3rd place with 56 points (by virtue of the tie breaker with the Flyers) now in the Metropolitan Div. The top three will go to the playoffs!!!

I went last night. This is a completely different team - they play hard, everyone contributes and it appears that they are all responsible to each other and pick each other up. Another thing I noticed is they weren't making the usual dumb mistakes that CBJ teams have made in the past.

This is probably the best CBJ team ever. I just hope that the Olympic break doesn't mess up the mojo much like I hope the Olympic break gives my Wings a chance to get healthy and get on a roll. These guys are the real deal and unless they have a rash of injuries or something stupid happens, this should be a playoff team.

I still haven't decided. The lure of my couch is very strong. Plus, I'm not even kidding about the jinx part of it. I really believe that where I'm sitting and whether or not I had my glasses on or off for the last goal means something.

You would think the Sabres would be an easy slump-buster to break the jinx.

But on the other hand, jesus, if they lost this one with you in attendance...
