Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Big win last night. They really do need a good streak during this home stretch. It seems they never make up any ground in the standings.

Tampa Bay coming to town on Monday night. Hopefully the fans will start showing up. Friday night was outstanding!!

Two more points for the good guys. Tampa had won 7 of 8 on the road coming into tonight's game.

It was the Blue Jackets' season-high fourth win in a row.

As Butch and Sundance would say: Who are those guys?

Ring up two more for the good guys! Arguably against some rather meh competition, the streak reaches six. The boys are playing some damned good hockey right now.

Re: Columbus improved to 24-20-4 (52 points) after winning just 14 of its first 35 games

Hey Chief, WOULD YOU BELIEVE........that (if the season ended after yesterday's games) the Blue Jackets made the playoffs?

Yes Max, I would.

Other than Buffalo, the rest of those teams have been hanging around and the wins against the Craps, Tampa and the Rags were all pretty good.

The stats have said this could be a playoff team for a couple weeks now and finally the standings show it. This week has LA, Philly and Buffalo all coming to Columbus, and they need to get at least 4 points out of that stretch.

rangers and toronto both with a 3 point lead with 2 more games played. it's there for them to slide up to the 6 seed or so if they keep up the hot streak.

Yeah, decent, but certainly no world beaters there. I think this is where the CBJ is really seeing the benefit of hopping to the East. Just Pittsburgh and then Boston and then a bunch of other middle-of-the-pack teams.

Getting to play NYI and CAR 18 times per season instead of CHI and STL sure is nice.

I was kind of surprised to learn the 4 Blue Jackets are on the Russian Olympic hockey team.

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, center Artem Anisimov and defensemen Fedor Tyutin and Nikita Nikitin were among the 25 players named to the Russian National Men’s Ice Hockey Team on Tuesday, while right wing Marian Gaborik has been selected to represent Slovakia at the upcoming 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. In addition to those players, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen will serve as the assistant general manager for Team Finland and Head Coach Todd Richards will serve as an assistant coach for Team USA.

Not bad "Blue Jacket representation" at Sochi.

Ryan Murray is so good. He never makes mistakes and only makes good decisions. Reminds me of Ryan Suter.

Ryan Johansen is going to be a monster too. I see 70-75 points while being able to handle the other teams' top lines.

I also think Atkinson will be a 30 goal scorer..

The team has role players, and the young guys are blossoming into weapons. If they don't keep Gaborik, they need to make a push for another game breaker in the offseason. Then they'll be top 5 in the East in my opinion. They're the Blues of the East. Tough, fast, relentless.
