Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Got a nice road win last night. A pair of slick goals in the last 5 minutes to turn a one goal deficit into a victory.

I dare say that Ryan Johansen might be the 2nd best 1st round pick the CBJ have made. I'm really impressed with his improvement.

The chemistry on this team is so much better than it has been in year's past. It's nice to see guys knowing where their teammates will be and being able to get the puck to them.

I get so angry with this team and I'm ready to sell at the first sign of trouble.

That said...I really enjoy watching them play. I can't wait until Friday to watch the Devils game. Fantastic road win the other night heading into the Christmas break. Keep it close until the team gets it's health back. Nathan Horton is close and Bob coming back will obviously help, although I've been thrilled with McIlhenny and McKenna in goal. McKenna absolutely robbed Jeff Skinner in the waning moments of the game on Monday night.

Fight breaks out at Blue Jackets practice

A spat between Blue Jackets Brandon Dubinsky and Blake Comeau escalated, quickly, into a full-on fight today during practice in Nationwide Arena. Dubinsky and Comeau, who had moments earlier exchanged words and had to be separated on the bench during a penalty-kill drill, dropped the gloves and exchanged punches when their lines were next on the ice together. They did so just feet away from coach Todd Richards, who unsuccessfully ordered them to stop. Assistant coach Dan Hinote intervened and pulled Dubinsky and Comeau apart, keeping things from getting out of hand as president of hockey operations John Davidson, watching from suite level, bellowed for the teammates to cease fire.

Good. I wish Datsyuk would go upside of Dan Cleary's head or something in practice and show the Wings some fire.

Thanks to the heroics of the NHL's reigning top goaltender, the Jackets dominated division-rival Carolina en route to a 3-0 victory.
