Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Once again they look like a solid team against Calgary. So I expect that they'll have 3 shots and lose 16-0 tonight at Vancouver. I agree about Umberger. If anyone in the city followed this team there would be more of an outcry about his contract versus his production on the ice.

Well I was close. 6-2 loss at Vancouver last night. This team is just unwatchable at this point. There isn't a scoring threat anywhere on this team. The CBJ were out shot last night 35-16. That's just an embarrassment.

Once again the CBJ show that they simply have no heart. No competitive spirit. They are just a bunch of guys. They suck.

6-0 against TLM....teams that quit just don't do that. when they get Gabby/Horton/Dubinsky back and if they figure out there defensive mistakes, there's no reason they can't be in contention for the 7 or 8 seeds in the East. The East simply isn't that good.

I'm excited about tonight against Trashville. Which one of the personalities of this team shows up at home on Thanksgiving eve (the house SHOULD be full, but who knows?)?

Watching the game against Nashville infuriates me even more. That team was clicking. How is that not happening more rather than less? Lets face it, this team has been bad WAY more than they have been good this season. Can't figure it out.

Win last night against a woeful Edmonton team. Bryzgalov got yanked in the 3rd in favor of Dubnyk. Edmonton made it interesting late but Columbus won 4-2. It actually wasn't as close as the final score would indicate. Right now due to injuries the CBJ are playing a ton of minor league guys and they are playing well. Christ if this team could get healthy then they might make some noise.

I've been really down on this team but they are really undermanned at this point. Going to be ugly in Boston tonight I fear. Assume that Curtis McIlhenny will start to give Bobrovsky a breather. On the road in Beantown with your back up playing doesn't bode well.

The Jackets have been playing well. Tuesday night against the Devils was the most fun I've had watching a hockey game in some time. I don't know if this group can keep up the pace and I'm not sure how Curtis will do in goal for the next month, but they are really working right now. Get some of the injured players back and if they can keep it close while Bob heals then they may be in it come April.

Yep - they started playing their physical style about a month ago and it's starting to show dividends.

Losing to Pittspuke isn't that bad a thing, at least they were competitive in that one.
