Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

I agree, unfortunately to me Nash is a lot like Iginla, good-great player, nothing around him, and not quite good enough to instantly make the team exponentially better like Crosby or Ovie can. Hell both Nash and Iginla were on the same line at the Olympics and looked pretty damned good, and they are my 2 favorite players, but both of those franchises are going nowhere fast.

See what I wrote further up in the thread. The good franchises and the ones that do it year in and year out are the teams that are built from within.

As has been documented multiple times, the CBJ have had nothing but failure in the drafting and scouting departments. Until that is actually remedied nothing is going to change, no amount of coaching or GM changes are going to fix it either really.

The retards on the radio after 3PM on the Fan were saying it was time to "clean house" in the management department. It just doesn't matter. Build the minors into a feeder system, they've already acquired the FA pieces that should work well and see what happens.

It's not going to happen overnight.

There are rumors flying around that the Jackets are talking to the Flames. JayBo's name is coming up again.

He'd be a nice addition obviously, but he's still not great in the d-zone. They need someone who can play defense.

Whoever.

This team is a nightmare. I'm dreading tonight. I almost bought tickets and then I remembered the unholy evening I spent last December being heckled by Pens fans in our own barn.

Nationwide will be overrun by front running Red Wings fans tonight.

It'd be nice to shut them up.

JACKETS WIN!

:slappy: :slappy: :slappy:

Doing their best Browns immitation...beat the 2 defending Super Bowl champs and drop most of the other 30 games

Still, great win...now if they can string together 10 in a row they'll be out of the cellar in the West

Cool to have the Locksley there in Nationwide every time the Jackets scored! Any chance we can get them to come back...haha! Only bad thing about them, is they are from Madison, WI.

Wis made a difference, and Mason had his first good game of the year. It all just came together tonight. Now let's just focus on Buffalo and see if we can get some points there. I don't expect an extreme winning streak, but maybe we can get points in 6 or 7 of our next 10 or something, and at least start to turn it around.

Anybody else think that this game may have saved Arniel's job?
