Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

The Coyotes plug right along even though the franchise seems to be falling apart around them.
they have an interesting team with the young guys (mueller, yandle, boedker, turris) heck even lisin, lindstrom (former cbj prospect) and then the vets, doan, olli j, hanzal, jovo, reinprecht. truley interesting, kudos to those guys for their play and gretz for his job. some still think theyll blow it up pre deadline, who knows. personally id like to see a playoff run out of the franchise. they havent really been that good and maybe a good push could make them a team that was viable and create more interest? maybe a pipe dream but id like to see it play out.

also note that ottawa said yesterday afternoon the team wouldnt be broken up, that bad teams get broken up (28th team in hockey) then they got out and get whacked 4-1. the leafs got hoofed also 6-1. pressures on in the great white north. losing up there would be like tressel being in the bottom third of the big ten.

So are they mature and focused enough to put two games in a row together and take care of business against an Ottawa team that they should beat tonight at home? Ottawa has been playing better of late (not counting the first game back after tha ASG which they appearently thought was optional).

I think its harder to get up for these games you are "supposed" to win, it will be a good test.

I'm not sure that the Blue Jackets are in the elite group of teams that have "suppoed to win" games. Currently for the Blue Jackets every game is a new challenge.

Big win tonight.

Big game tomorrow vs. Dallas and Dallas has been on a roll lately.

Then it's St. Louis and another chance at some free points by playing the Penguins from the East. You have to win your games against the East.

If Mason plays at a level consistent with an NHL starting goalie, does LeClaire become a trade piece?

a la carey price/maf. maybe. that being said if the right offer is on the table...take it. it is no secret as you know hitch likes a netminder who can handle the puck. mike hard to say, depends on the offer. to the wings-youd have to overpay, vastly...

if that makes sense (this is my personal thought on what theyd think not what i know or what i personally think)

If he plays well, does LeClaire become expendable?

front page coverage for commodore ripping another nhl coach/gm. first it was babs now murray.

and fritsche was traded from ny rangers to the wild (for those of you who care).
Wild acquire Fritsche from Rangers

hard to say on pazzy. at this time, id say it would depend on the deal. i also think he could possibly have more value in the future when he comes back from surgery, assuming he comes back healthy. thats just a guess. as long as he is on the ir its a non issue. so basically it is a non issue until after the cup finals.
