Just following on NHL.com, but the Jackets have responded twice tonight. Down 1-0, then 2-1.

Unless you are Marty Brodeur or Patrick Roy, playing more than 60 games usually isn't a good thing. I would look for Columbus to make a move to get a decent NHL backup goalie. I'm afraid Dan LaCosta may not be ready for the big time like Steve was.

Given that Mason is a rookie and not used to the wear and tear, no it's NOT a good thing.

However, Columbus claimed Wade Dubielewicz from the KHL off of waivers and he's going to be the backup now. He's serviceable if nothing else.

Which gives me hope in that 2 teams in the West that are abusing the piss out of their goalies are Minny and Calgary.

Tough loss, but what I really noticed is that Ales Hemsky is as good a hockey player as I've seen in quite a while.

Well I'm not sure what to make of it tonight so far.

2-1 lead is great but 5 fucking power plays in a period and a half with 1 goal to show for it scares me a bit.

Mason seems to be feeling better. He better be because its looking like a 40+ save night.

Man these guys have stones.

10 seconds after giving up the tying goal they go back up. Williams has been a godsend to the PP.

The sheer number of PP's the refs are handing out makes me think there will be several more lead changes.

These guys are really pissing me off right now. 4 straight games blowing 3rd period leads and a total of 3 points to show for it. Lazy plays, stupid plays........two nights in a row I stay up late to watch these clowns choke on it.

Hey guys....if you're heading off for a line change, maybe...just maybe...you should make sure you get the puck deep instead of flipping it right to their d-man along the wall. Likewise, a hard around when now on is chasing the puck is a fucking outlet pass for the other team. Chip it into the corner and get changed.

Power play = pathetic. Jason Williams has been a nice addition, but overall, it still pretty much sucks. The passing is too slow and even when they do get the puck moving, they aren't crisp and sure as hell aren't tape-to-tape. It's hard to keep it moving when you have a pass into your feet. And when a guy gets the puck for a one-timer into an open net, maybe, just maybe....you could actually one time it instead of stopping it, settling it down, and letting the goalie get in position.

And, for the love of god, finish your fucking chances. Please.

Also, fuck Robyn Regehr and his cross-check to the face and fuck Dion Phaneuf and his love of Sean Avery's sloppy seconds.

It's comical to me that inadvertently knocking the puck off of it's moorings results in the same PP situation as cross-checking a guy in the face. That shit doesn't add up.
