At the start of the 2005-06 season, the Blue Jackets believed they were set in goal, with Marc Denis the starter and Martin Prusek his proven backup.
Only two weeks into the season, a certain rookie blew up those plans, pushing Denis' status as the No. 1 and sending Prusek through waivers, to the minor leagues and, ultimately, back to Europe.

The Blue Jackets plan to go with three goaltenders for the foreseeable future, a scheme that puts the three -- Pascal Leclaire, Fredrik Norrena and Steve Mason -- in an uncomfortable situation. Besides the obvious issues of splitting playing time among three players instead of two, there is the business of there being only two goals to defend in practice, so one of the three is always the odd man out.

3 goalies make sense, but the odd man out will likely be LeClaire if Mason keeps playing the way he is.

there is no way they'll sit LeClaire with his contract and with a servicable backup like Norrena who comes cheaply.....

And I do think LeClaire could bring a decent forward OR a 1st rounder to the right team...
