So you are saying that they really needed to score at that point? I'll take the classy move of taking the knee thank you.....

No. I'm saying as the losing team, Ohio State has no reason to complain about the other team scoring. If the players don't like it, then don't let them score.

I likes the passing from both QB's near the end. They both looked like they had settled down from last week and gotten comfortable

Well, much has already been said, so I won't repeat everything. A few thoughts:

1. I've read a lot of people lauding the "classy move" by not scoring at the end, as well as people frustrated by it. My thought: If Rod had scored with a minute left when we HAD to run a play, awesome. However, I'm glad they didn't hurry up to the line and take an unnecessary snap. That is why it was a "classy" move. No, it isn't taking any responsibility off the defense, it is simply showing "class."

2. Solid debut from Braxton, although I felt like 80% of the time he was in RB mode. Not complaining, as he has to play to his strengths right now, but I'll be looking for his reads to continue to improve. Goddamn was he impressive on the ground though. Again, as has been said, "PROTECT YOURSELF!"

3. Defense had good and bad moments. D-Line got some great pressure, defense was solid against the run. LB need to be more disciplined, they allowed that TE t get behind them 3-4 times for 20+ (Or something like that). Can't have that as often.

4. Travis Howard really struggled a couple of times. Easily could have been beat on the post that the CU WR dropped, and had awful position on the 4th down score. Struggled against Miami too, need to see him step up against Kirk Cousins/MSU next week.

5. Jordan Hall. Damn.

6. I'd like CU's kicker. What a leg. Great to see Drew get a longer kick, but I still tense up every time he goes out there.

7. Special Teams coverage was fantastic, KO and Punt. Nicely done.

8. Glad to see Joe come in and make some really nice throws. Those throws were there for Braxton, but we saw today what 5 years experience, even in a non-playing role, does. Nice throws, glad to see him bounce back a bit.

9. That deep pass from Braxton for the TD, and the one that was incorrectly ruled incomplete on 2nd and 16 were beautiful.

GO BUCKS!

According to this logic, if Oklahoma is up 48-0 in the fourth, they should run their normal pass offense and attempt to run it up.

Because, I mean, if the opposing team doesn't like it, stop them.

That's what we would call a "dick" move, or a "Beilema" move. As in, total bullshit.

It's not about the defense, its about a coach showing respect for his opponents by not unnecessarily running up the score.

So I missed the last 3 quarters today as I had to tailgate for my own college's game as I assumed the replay would be available on ESPN 3.... What the hell....

It should show up on BTN2go tomorrow. I know that's what happened with the Akron game after it was broadcast on ESPN.

You need to Google the word "sportsmanship", because it's obviously not in your vocabulary.

Are our panties still in a bunch over Miami? Get over it guys.

I was at the game and haven't read the thread.

Braxton Miller is extremely elusive. I love his quick decision making on the read option. I also love the way he cuts his runs upfield and inside. We haven't seen that at Ohio State lately. I do hope he learns to protect himself. He took a couple of vicious hits today.

His receivers need to help him out and catch the ball. Lots of drops today.

So I assume you think Fickell lacks sportsmanship? After all he "ran up the score" by doing passing plays, etc. during Akron. Doesn't matter if it was 2nd and 3rd stringers, it was still intent on moving the ball to score.

If you're the team winning by a mile, most of the time it's good sportsmanship to run out the clock. If you're the losing team, it's bad sportsmanship to complain about what the other team decides, either way. If it isn't your team playing, you get to complain no matter what happens, because it's college football.

Whining isn't good sportsmanship. And again, I didn't hear anyone complain when Fickell did it. In fact, quite the opposite. People were making fun of Akron's head coach for calling out Fickell for that very thing.
