Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

The truly outstanding thing in this whole charade is that, whatever decision Saban makes, my Christmas mug of butthurt will overflow. Now it might be filled with Texas butthurt or Alabama butthurt, but it's guaranteed to be full.
Imagine if Mack survives an attempted coup, keeps his job, and goes 5-7 next year.

While I do respect the University of Texas and like the alums that I know, the collective fanbase's arrogance and delusional thinking about their place in college football really has led me to root for their failure on the field. The above is definitely the best case scenario in all this, particularly if it looks like Saban just worked them like a plastic Hoke doll in order to get an extra million out of bama.

I'm slightly hoping Mack goes out and makes it ugly then Saban comes in and leaves after a year.....

Guys on the radio are still talking its a done deal...

BTW @ORD_Buckeye They still believe they are throwing around monopoly money and once everyone gets wind of it "If the job opens up" then everyone will be stomping down the door to get a piece of the action. :smash:

Another thing that strikes me... for as rich a football history Tejas "had" .... you'd think you'd have former players/assistants beating down the door for the job, Ohio state had a list 10 miles long of formers.... instead they have to go out and try to overpay for a merc.... They'll get what they deserve which.

I can see Saban loving the football banquet being televised on LHN, like it is right now.

Yeah. I read on the shag where the LHN was described as "the greatest strategic weapon ever given to a college football program." Uh-huh. Being contractually obligated to televising games on a network nobody can see is a hell of a weapon. I can just see Saban salivating at the notion of being contractually obligated to devote x hours to jumping through LHN hoops every week.

And I can't even fathom at how well it'll go over when the "cigars" start making the "Nick, when's the team comin' on down to the ranch?" phone calls. He'll long for the day when his biggest aggravation was some toothless mongoloid with a full back tattoo of his likeness.
