Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

right around the time they let Tubs walk away.

TT wasn't a great coach, but you weren't going to just push his teams around.
They were going to play hard nosed physical football on both sides of the line all game long.

Now? yeah, not so much.

They've had huge holes in the D ever since tt left. Specifically i point to the day quentin groves walked off campus. And yeah woof the offense this year definetley has had people longing for the caddy williams ronnie brown days

Another source close to the UW Athletic Department said Alvarez has been in contact with Boise State coach Chris Petersen and an interview could happen as early as Monday.

Very interesting. His name always comes up but then programs hire another coach and the rumors go away.

Ugh. I was firmly on the "never ever happen" train but these rumors are making me waver.

I'm assuming any interview with Chris Petersen is just about money these days and the accommodations in new city or university.

It's not like Alvarez has to ask Petersen what has he done lately.

That hire would be substantially more interesting than Chryst, but I also recall he wouldn't even interview at USC a few years back.

I don't see Wiscy getting Petersen, although it would be a gigantic coup for them and a huge egg in the face for Arkansas and every other program that tried to get him. How are the medical facilities in Madison?
American Family Children's Hospital in Madison is a top 50 facility nationwide. No hospital in Idaho is ranked.

Don't know why I'm thinking this, but gut feeling is that an Ohio State assistant will take the Cincinnati job if/when Butch Jones takes off shortly.

But I'm sure that Urban has a short list of replacement coaches, considering he just built a staff last year.

Gut feeling is that OSU loses two coaches this offseason to head coaching jobs.
