Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

Considering the number of openings, in the MAC or whatever, it might be shocking if Ohio State returns its entire coaching staff next season.

But maybe the OSU assistants don't want to leave for the MAC.

But this is why our assistants are now paid better. It will take a good promotion to lure them away.

Mahlzahn with typical Auburn talent won't be very good.
8-5 both non-Cam years he was there as OC.
both years, they got pummeled by LSU and Bama.

I can't really point to the exact year, but in the past 6-7 years Auburn just decided to say "fuck it - we aren't playing defense anymore"
That was fine and dandy when you have a once in a generation athlete at QB, but hasn't worked out too well sense then.

Auburn used to resemble what Alabama is today. Ground and pound, great running backs, QB's that don't make mistakes and good special teams.
They need their identity back and I don't think Malzahn gets them there.

right around the time they let Tubs walk away.

TT wasn't a great coach, but you weren't going to just push his teams around.
They were going to play hard nosed physical football on both sides of the line all game long.

Now? yeah, not so much.
