I would have assumed that he could have snagged at least a bit higher profile job somewhere rather than take a pay cut. Must have some baggage that he needs to get rid of for a few seasons at Arkansas State.

Maybe his Petrino Length-of-Stay Meter tells him "two years at most" until he coaches the Hawgs at 3 mill a year. Forming relationships with Arkansas H.S. coaches again is step one of the plan.alexhortdog95;2064106; said:He probably knows something we don't.....usually when you see stuff like this, some shyat is about to go down.

Todd Graham leaving Pittsburgh for Arizona State
UPDATE: A Pittsburgh official confirmed to CBSSports.com on Wednesday that Graham is headed to Arizona State.
Sometimes the coaching carousel spins slowly, and other times the college football world is blindsided by a surprise hire in the winter months. The news that Pittsburgh head coach Todd Graham is departing to accept the vacant job at Arizona State falls under the superspeed rapid spin cycle.

Graham just finished his first year at the helm in Pittsburgh, leading the Panthers to a 6-6 record and their second-straight appearance in the BBVA Compass Bowl. The former Tulsa head coach entered the season with promises of a high-octane offense and injecting energy back into the Pittsburgh program. But the offensive scheme failed to catch on in Graham's first year, and the Panthers finished in the bottom half of the Big East in passing and scoring offense. The one offensive highlight from the Panthers' first season under Graham was the explosion of running back Ray Graham, who averaged over 130 yards per game before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

It isn't unheard of for coaches to simply want to be closer to home and to make the requisite decisions to do so. Certainly Buckeye fans understand this point.
