Much like Charlie Weis, Pat Hill's greatest game was that one when he almost beat USC in 2005.
Fresno St under Pat Hill developed this mythic reputation as a potential giant killer, yet they never actually slayed any giants. A lot like Gonzaga basketball, IMHO.

ScriptOhio;2059449; said:Just sayin'... Pat Hill was only making around $650,000 at Fresno State. He has coached in Ohio before (Browns...OL/TE). He has to have connections for California recruiting. Besides having a cool mustache, he may make some college team a real good OC and/or OL coach.
I think a lot of people around the country lost interest in Fresno St athletics after Stacy Johnson-Klein was fired.muffler dragon;2059379; said:I have a colleague who lives in Fresno (his mother absolutely loves all things Fresno State). Anyway... he said yesterday that a lot of people don't understand it except for the tangible drop in attendance. However, he said that some entity had changed the rules regarding tail-gating sites and things of the sort which, IHO, led to a LOT of people having no interest in attending the games. Take it FWIW, but it appears that even a great deal of people in Fresno realized their lot in life and are disappointed with the news.
