Correction: They went on a steep nosedive during the 2014 title game and it has continued since then.I would say Mark Helfrich's seat is more than warming up at this point. They've been in a steep nosedive since the title game from the 2014 season.
Charlie isn't going anywhere unless they crater the rest of the reason - he's gonna end up canning Vance Bedford his DC and several folks on the D if they can't stop anyone but the Offense looks way better with just a freshman QB.I'd maybe put Charlie Strong on the "possibly heating up" list
That win over ND doesnt look very spectacular now. Couple with an already loss to a 2-2 Cal team. They could easily drop the next 2 @ Okie State and Vs Oklahoma, which would probably get the Texas faithful in an uproar. I'm assuming the natives wont be very happy with a 6 or 7 win season
But they're back! ESPN said so!I'd maybe put Charlie Strong on the "possibly heating up" list

LSU perspective check
1950-1999 (from the recognized start of the modern era of CFB to the year before they hired Saban) they had a win% of .61% and 1 NC
2000-2004 (Saban) .75% and 1 NC
2005-2015 (Lesticles) .78% and 1 NC
you better be damn sure the next guy is better than Lester
That is exactly what I was wondering.I'd be interested to know if Miles was ever given an ultimatum to fire Cameron himself and he refused?
Maybe these programs should go the Houston route and hire a shit-hot coordinator who hasn't been a head coach yet, instead of shuffling around the same old head coaches like the NFL does...Will be fascinating to watch these programs fighting over coaches this offseason.
