Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

Bob Stoops has to be warming up as well
People always say that, but the general consensus seems to be he's safe, but to possibly expect some more staff shake-ups. It seems a little short-sighted to place a coach on the hotseat the year after a playoff appearance.

The Sooner fanbase seems to perpetually have him on the hotseat, but cooler heads, and more importantly, their administration seem to disagree.

Me, I think Stoops has done all he can there, and it might be best for both parties to move on. However, he seems to be happy there, and he's built up enough goodwill to be pretty safe. I think barring an absolute tank this season, and another disaster in 2017, he's pretty safe.

This just seems like a "be careful what you wish for" thing for LSU. Kind of like when Nebraska fired Solich after winning 10 games, down the drain to average/mediocre after. LSU wasnt exactly lighting the world on fire before Saban arrived, if they whiff and make a bad hire they could easily slip back into average/mediocreness. It's been a "rough" couple of years for LSU but I think their desire to be "just like Bama" might bite them in the ass here.

I agree that their expectations are a little too high. I don't think it is analogous to Nebraska though.
