Clifford suspended (Washington OK to play) In Championship

someone give me the basics of the 1460 story...and how do we know they are not jumping the gun???
Basically, there was a press release at 4:06pm from OSU, stating that Eugene Clifford has been suspended. This is the first official word from tOSU AT ALL on the subject.

Torgerson at 1460 emailed his contact at tOSU with "So, no word on Washington?" They bounced back "Eugene Clifford is the only confirmed suspension".

Thankyou kindly...That sounds like great news for us and DW and too bad for EC

If this is true that Washington is not suspended, the media owes Mr. Washington a big-time apology.

Not to bust on ya, but they do not owe him shit. If he had not gotten in to trouble in the first place it never would have been an issue to debate. Don't put yourself in the position and you will never have to worry about getting an apology.

Did he get in trouble? What did he do?

Well that's obviously great news. In a way, it's disappointing that it was Washington who wasn't suspended, because that means that Clifford has been in trouble 2 times already, which is troubling. Hopefully he bounces back ala Troy.

This is huge, though. Losing Washington had the potential to be a big deal.

Hopefully Tressel didn't let Washington slide because he's a better player. But I trust Tressel on this one.

Yes, you can trust JT. A man is only as good as his word and principles. Actions speak louder than words. If JT were to let DW slide for whatever reason, then his words/principles would be meaningless to the team. No way in hell that happens. JT has IT - class, character, principles...will do the right thing even when no one is watching.

BTW, I think Troy Smith may back me up on this one.

Phew! sweet! Welcome back to the national championship game DW! I thought the guy had just thrown away a chance of a lifetime! We're gonna need him.

As for Eugene, man I'm disappointed! I hope he gets it right from here! Just a couple days ago Malcolm Jenkins was quoted as saying that he was tearing it up! If he keeps away from trouble he could be the poster-child of Buckeye football.
