Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

Tuesday afternoon, ground was broken in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood for a statue honoring beloved Indians slugger Rocky Colavito.

What a bunch of BS. Any statue for Rocky should be put in the same place that the statue for Thome stands. He was loved by Clevelanders back in the late 50s. They should also have a statue for Larry Doby. He does not get the recognition that he deserves. There are others but I know that the organization is catering more to the younger generation.
This, I have nothing against Thome, but the face he got a statue before Doby is ridiculous

Did MLB change the fan interference rule? It sure looked like the Orioles fan leaned over the fence and kept Rosario from catching the ball. I have seen less interference result in an out being called. Yet the O's got a 2-run home run out of it.

But there is a Doby Statue right? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?

Yeah, right....

Bauers DFA'd...good riddance. Bradley up. A lot of people are enamored with him, I don't see it. Has power, but can't make contact worth a shit. Feels like a discount Rob Deer.
New Deer is better than Old Bauers...not a major league player. Even the Indians announcers were like “why did it take so long”

Bauers is just one of a huge sample size across the league. Once you're pegged as a "Top 100 prospect" you get a ton of rope (oh hai, Matt LaPorta & Andy Marte). Everyone does it and I'll never understand it. You don't see many cases of guys coming up, sucking ass across multiple seasons and suddenly blowing up. Sometimes there's a period of adjustment, but if the potential is there, it's usually realized within a reasonable amount of time. Bauers, to my memory, never showed any signs of being anything more than what he is. He'd have a decent game here and there, but almost always followed it up by going 0-4 with 2 whiffs.

I’d take 20+ HR with 80 or so RBI from anyone at this point. Even if it comes with Rob Deer strikeout rate and batting average
Oh, definitely. I hope I'm waaay wrong about this, but I don't see Bradley as a regular at the major league level. BA is too low, K's are too high. The guy has struggled to hit .250 in AAA (hell, he's only .251 across all levels) the past couple seasons and whiffs more than once every three at bats. I don't see how that translates to him doing anything in MLB.

You're not going to be wrong. Better than Bauers.

Oh me neither he’s not performed at all in the upper minors. But if he could somehow salvage 20-30 HR a year. Even if it carries a .220 BA I’d take it over a jake Bauers

I just wanted to add that part of it is Jesus Aguilar. Now, he basically just had the one lightning in a bottle season in Milwaukee, but the Indians felt they gave up on him too early.
