Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

Plesac broke a finger taking off his shirt and is on the IL. Can't make this stuff up.

How did it happen? Tito said Plesac was "rather aggressively ripping off his shirt" and got it caught on a chair at his locker.

The 50 Dumbest Injuries in Sports History

Plesac might make that list now. Being a life long NYG fan this is my all time favorite....:

7. Plaxico Burress Shoots His Own Leg

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress started off the evening on the wrong foot when he decided to bring a gun to a night club. That was mistake No. 1.

Mistake No. 2 was keeping the gun in the waistbelt of his sweatpants.

Of course, we all know what happened next, as Burress proceeded to shoot himself in the thigh. Not only did the injury take him off the field, but it landed him in prison for two years.

Cleveland had briefly demoted McKenzie, but with Plesac going on the IL, they're bringing him back to start tomorrow. Rather than keep McKenzie in the rotation long-term, I would prep Quantrill to join the rotation and throw him in there in a couple weeks when he is ready.

Y’all might want to take a quick glance at what Aaron Civale is doing this season.

7 wins 1 loss in 10 starts from Civale. Not too shabby

If only somebody had told y’all a month ago to watch Civale, eh?

They sent McKenzie back to Cbus today. But he’ll be back to start a game Monday, as the 27th man allowed for a double header. No roster move required under that special DH rule. Then he goes back to Cbus again.

Btw, Brad Zimmer called up from Cbus today to take McKenzie’s roster spot. Zimmer went 0-2 with 1 BB, 1 HBP and 1 SO playing CF.

Well he’s got the BA right, but he’s reaching base too much

Starting pitching is a wreck. Hentges getting smacked around again chased after 2 1/3. ERA in the 7s.

Offense seems to be back to not being able to hack out of a paper bag as wall
