Jaysus, Swish. That said, it's a nice night. No wind thank god. Could be a little warmer. Turnout was a bit better than I expected and I got some good footage of the rally squirrel.

Rally squirrel? For the As, I guess. This Indians' team would have trouble starting a rally if you gave them 3 or 4 extra outs for the inning. You know, like they give the other team.....

It will be interesting to see what happens when Giambi is ready to play. I know that he is a favorite in the clubhouse but I would offer him a position as a part-time coach or roving scout or something with the organization. I mean the guy cannot play a position and just hurts the bench and the way Francona uses a bullpen Giambi hurts that also.

Can Johnny Football play baseball too?

On another note, great job again owners/FO for not spending money upgrading with a power bat or two.... and well hell not really doing anything once again to improve off our 1 good year in 5.

I really do not understand how Oakland can have such a low payroll and be that much better then the Indians. Well, I actually do because we suck and spent money on guys like Bourn and Swisher. I am sort of surprised that we did not give Masterson a big long-term deal before the season began. That along with not signing Jimenez is about the only thing that the Indians front office did correctly with their signings. I guess I will give them credit for Murphy but the season is far from over. Brantley is probably pretty happy that he signed a long-term deal:sarcastic:

Oakland builds itself around pitching and defense. They are excellent at finding/developing that facet and when their players get close to paydays, they ship them out and bring up the next guy. Billy Beane really is one of the best GMs in all of sports. Even when they had a few down years, they didn't freak out and change philosophies.
