Cleveland Indians Thread of Malaise (2014 Season)

It should had been expected that they would stink it up this year....every somewhat recent competitive season has been followed by a turd, can't string together multiple in a row.

That they do. They were like this last year tho too so the season isn't lost yet, but game by game it seems like it's heading towards lost pretty quickly.
No, they won a lot more of these than they lost. Time to face reality: last year was a magical, one year excursion through relevance, before the inevitable cunt punch 3 times a week returned.

Watch out ladies and gents, team went 3-31 today at their own house and wasted ANOTHER fantastic start. Last 3 games Masty, Kulber, and McAllistar combined for a 0.46 ERA.... and yet we are 1-2 in those game thanks to horrible offense and poor bullpen pitching by Axford.

But hey let's just listen to Francona's nonchalant response to that about a bunch of talk about it's early and how he is optimistic still and all that crap.

Hey it's ok, we just pay Swisher 15 million a year to hit .197, Santana 3.7 mill a year to hit .150 (:shake:) and Asdrubal 10 mill a year to hit .211

So basically 28.7 million of our 84 million payroll (so over a 3rd of our payroll) is hitting below .215. Toss in how Bourn can only manage to play once every five weeks (yes I realize he has been hitting better lately but still) and his 13.5 salary and that becomes 42.2 million (so 50% of our payroll) going to little production at all for our team.

About time to hit that panic button and shake somethings up to try and salvage this season.
