While we hated on Assdribble pretty rough not long ago.... Santana is ever worse, makes Asdrubal hitting look like Ted Williams. 3 for 50 something for Santana, OUR 4 hitter. GTFO
What? Four extra-base hits in 24 games isn't enough for you? I mean, he has managed to get his SLG above the Mendoza line. Oh, he has THREE hits since April 9th...Sweet Fancy Moses...

I love how I keep hearing "No need to panic, it's early, we were bad early last year". While I agree there is no reason to flip shit, there is serious room for concern. I don't care how bad we did last year, we weren't coming off a playoff berth last year. We have had man crap starts lately, and all but last year we went on to have crap seasons dating back to 2007. We have no power hitter, our clutch hitting is a joke, our hitting with risp is a joke, our amount of errors is a joke, our pitching is a joke. No the season isn't over yet, but from what i see there is no reason to expect more than 80 wins.

It's not like they have played world beaters yet either...The Bay teams are the only ones besides Detroit with a pulse, and they only played them twice. This team is headed for shitsville, one way.

I guess my question is how long will Francona keep Santana in the cleanup spot or even better keep him in the lineup. I mean this has gone on long enough. I have no idea what Francona is thinking. Maybe they should send Santana back to Columbus or even possibly Akron to see if he can still hit a ball.

Francona is a stubborn player's manager...it's what got him into trouble in Boston, because he basically refused to discipline anyone or do anything. Now Santana isn't doing anything wrong, but there is no way in hell any manager with WS rings should still have him in the cleanup spot 25 in. His whole answer of "Well I want him to be there when he starts hitting" is utter bullshit at best, because he may never start hitting until he is no longer #4 in the order.

Well, at least they're good for a few laughs?
