Yeah, with the way teams manage to catch lightning in a bottle with closers these days, paying a premium for the position is stupid.

I care, sorta, there just ain't much to talk about. They're looking pretty strong this spring. Not sure how that translates. The cleveland fan in me is bracing for a major letdown this season. No one cares about the Indians any longer
yeah, I know I I do not have high hopes for this season either but they are doing fairly well in Spring training for whatever that is worth and I guess that is the major problem. The team ERA is the lowest among major-league teams but what does that mean when you are pitching against guys who probably will not even pick Up a bat in the majors this season. Along with the fact that Bourn is hitting close to the mendoza line and some other guy who is not going to make the club is batting over 300. Even with only one loss this Spring I do not have very high hopes for this season. Now if their young pitching comes through I have hopes for maybe 2-3 seasons down the road because they do have some good young talent but I think I have said that sometime before.I care, sorta, there just ain't much to talk about. The bullpen and 3rd base will make or break this season (aside from injuries of course). The OF will be OK, Aviles, Cabrera, Kipnis, and even Lindor can cover SS and 2B, 1st will be a platoon but mostly Swisher, Gomes will be fine, and the starters are deep enough that even if someone goes retard, they can replace them. If the Axford/Pestano/Scrabble/Outman group is a bunch of gas cans, the season will suck. If they can keep it below 3.00, we will stay in games. Then there's the hot corner...Santana can hit some, but he could make 15 errors in the first week if he has no confidence over there. Of course Chis could do that anyway, and he can't hit. They need hot corner production without having 2-3 extra guys on base per game. Spring Training champions bitches
it will be interesting to see who gets the fifth starting role Tomlin or Carlos. The one who does not get it will probably go into long relief and I think Tomlin might be better suited for that role plus the fact when hitters see him for a third time he tends to get shellacked but With the amount of pitches that Carlos throws he never gets to see hitters for a third time. Have Tomlin pitch the first five innings and then bring in Carlos for the last three or four. That probably would be the best option. Acab started out like a house of fire lassies also and that really melted the last couple months. I do not know if Sellers will make the 25 man roster even though he is supposed to be a very good infielder. If he made it I have no idea what they would do with Aviles.Went up to Goodyear this past weekend and watched them beat the Brew Crew on Sunday. Tomlin got the start and looked good for the few innings he was in there. Only gave up 3-4 hits and struck out a handful. The roid monster wasn't there though, was a split-squad game for the Brewers apparently. Acab looked good and so did Sellers @ 2nd base. Should be an interesting season.

OT, hope you did not get too chilly at the game.
I think Sellers has at least one option, so, I can't imagine him being anywhere but Columbus to start if everyone else is healthy. I would imagine Carrasco 5, Tomlin Long... so... yeah. Asdrubal is contract year no? Lets see if that motivates him or not... he's at least come in better shape the last 2 years.
Cabrera reportedly came in to spring training in the best shape he had in years last season, and he was rotten all year. let him show up josh beckett style, full of beer and greasy fried chicken.
Swish tells Lofton to bring it.
