I like Would because he can really bring the heat.
This is just a boner thought, which I commonly have these days, but I do not understand why they do not use more guys in multiple positions. A good example would be to put Chis out in RF and see if he can play that position. [Mark May] the way Kennedy is hitting this spring they might need a left-handed bat out there. I cannot believe it is that difficult to convert a major league infielder into a major-league outfielder. Swisher can play RF but Lonnie could not. That makes absolutely no sense.
I don't know, it seemed like there was an entire generation of crappy fielders in the 90s that went to right field...the Cansecos and Bobby Munozes and Phil Plantiers and Mickey Tettletons of the world.Usually when infielders completely fail at their position a team will put them in left field. It's pretty rare for guys to be stuck in Center or Right unless their name is Biggio or Zobrist and even Biggio struggled in Center.
I remember, barely, when I was a kid and the neighborhood guys would get together for a game the worst player chosen would always be assigned to play RF because there were not many left-handed hitters and it was a little difficult for right-handers to go the opposite way back in those days.Usually when infielders completely fail at their position a team will put them in left field. Opening day. I feel like I need a beer in my hand and a dip in. Was going to do the latter, then my boss came around and said its a no-no in the office. The terrorists have won, fellas.
Just for that I grabbed my dip and my empty lunch coke bottle. (I can hide dipping in the office easier since my cubicle is in the corner and no neighbors.
