Cleveland Indians 2015 Thread of Barely Restrained Contempt (BALLS)

Well, I guess a of positive out of this dog[Mark May] season...Lindor looks like a keeper.

Yeah, he really does. I don't really know what else to say, I mean, I was hoping for like .260-.275 and plus defense with the occasional rookie boneheaded stuff (and there's been a small amount of that) but, yeah, he's a ball player. Period. (And really I don't expect, nor do I need to expect, his stat line next year to end up like this year's sample, he's gonna be fine)

I was expecting the roughly the same, especially after he got off to a fairly slow start. But he's been on fire lately. He may still level off, but I didn't expect him to be a .300-ish hitter, and he's shown more pop in his bat than I expected.

The Tribe is on the warpath, for sure.

Hopefully the success that Lindor has had will change the way we handle prospects. They treat them as if though they are such delicate flowers and refuse to bring them up until we're out of options. Had Lindor been up earlier he'd probably be bringing home AL Rookie of the Year and we'd be near the top of the wild card standings.

And, if all those thing$ were true, Lindor would be a $uper Two after next $eason and would co$t the Tribe more ca$h for as long as he played in Cleveland. $o, even if they DID know that your projection$ would be true, what do you think the odd$ are that the Indian$ brass would have allowed them to happen? If you're un$ure of the an$wer, check out the info here: http://www.stevetheump.com/Payrolls.htm#2014_payroll

Gotta be honest... I thought they would be just above Houston on payroll. I'm surprised its as high as it is... who's making all that money

But the Dolans are selling a minority share! I'm sure all that money will go directly back into the team, right? Plus now they can pay one of their hack friends with no experience to be team Prez, instead of having to pay the other hack that had been here forever.

Well Correa has missed the last 4 games with a hammy... so, the door might be cracking open.
