Cleveland Indians 2015 Thread of Barely Restrained Contempt (BALLS)

Why is it that I continue to abuse myself by remaining an Indians fan? I'm just completely unable to even think of being a fan of another team, even my wife's Red Sox. I know they're [Mark May]ty, and will always be [Mark May]ty, but I can't bring myself to leave.

Cleveland pro sports fans are perfect test subjects about abusive relationships for psychologists.
"The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care"

Self Esteem could be on theme song of Indians fans

On this date 14 years ago: Indians erase 14-2 deficit, beat Mariners, 15-14, in greatest comeback ever. Chills. https://youtu.be/XHTAy54moc0

And now the Indians have difficulty scoring 15 runs in a week.
I was there. And stayed for it all.

Sunday Night Baseball. Dad, uncle, and I head up to Cleveland from Columbus and have seats in the Upper Deck 1st base side. Needless to say things did not go well and this game was testing my father's very strict "never leave early" policy- which ranks slightly above his "arrive at least 30 minutes before first pitch/tip/kickoff" policy.

So, as the tens of thousands of the 42K in attendance start filing out, my dad, uncle, and I decide we've about had enough, but we'll take the long exit out and walk the ballpark out to around home plate, down the 3rd base side and out to the left-field bleachers in the 6th inning. It was 14-2 as the M's had just plated 2 more in the 5th...good riddance...but again, we traveled this way and paid money to get here so we'll enjoy our time.

By the time we reached the outfield, the Tribe had plated a couple and we said we'd hang with John Adams and his drum and see the view. Well, another rally in the 8th and we were hooked along with the, probably less than 8,000 people still there. But boy was it a raucous crowd. The rest as they say, is history, and I will never forget it.

That Vizquel hit. That team. Fun.

Unfortunately with $30 million tied up in Bourn and Swisher, I really do not see this team improving for a few years and that will probably be a tremendous waste of pitching. The only outfielder that they really have is Brantley and there is not much power at the so-called infield power positions.

It was interesting to note that the Angels drew around 35,000 fans for each of the 3 games they played against Cleveland. Maybe that is why this team sucks so much.

No word yet on whether any goats were included in the deal.
