Cleveland Indians 2015 Thread of Barely Restrained Contempt (BALLS)

Lindor most hits in the MLB since the AS break.....better up his insurance policy

Lindor keeps this up and his trade value will jump in a couple years to TWO minor league pitchers who need Tommy John surgery.......

The way I see it is that we were and up tied with another team after 161 games and we will have to play the Tigers on Monday and they will beat the living shit out of us. Only in Cleveland can this happen.

I guess I can thank Francisco Lindor for giving me reason to give a shit about Baseball in September this year. His chase for the AL ROY award has been a treat to watch. Not to take anything away from Carlos Correa, who is having a fine first year, but Lindor...to me...is having the finer rookie season:

Lindor (89 games)-- .321/.357/.486 BA/OBP/SLG, 352 AB, 113 H, 20 2B, 4 3B, 10 HR, 44 RBI, 8 SB
Correa (90 games)-- .278/.346/.504 BA/OBP/SLG, 349 AB, 97 H, 22 2B, 0 3B, 19 HR, 58 RBI, 12 SB

Fielding % is very close-- .971 Lindor/.973 Correa

Correa certainly has better power numbers, but Lindor has a significant lead in BA, has a better OBP, and a comparable SLG. The interesting thing is that both are showing a good bit more pop in their bats at the ML level than they did in their rise through the minors. It should be a close race, but I'd give Lindor the nod right now.
