He has FAR exceeded my expectations in just about every category, especially offensively. He's hitting for average, shows decent plate discipline, and is showing significantly more pop in his bat than I expected. I was expecting him to be a .250-.260 hitter with typical MIF power this season. He's playing at an All-Star level right now. Of course, time will tell if he can maintain that, but a .317 BA and .478 SLG are waaaaay over what I ever anticipated.

It's what they do. They play like a bunch of sedated cows for 4 months, then show just enough signs of life over the last 2 to convince the FO that they don't need to make any significant changes. Stuck in neutral.
