I will never understand why Francona does not play Murphy every day. I know that Moss can provide some power but they are few and far between. Maybe they should see what is out there for Santana and move Moss to first and play Murphy a lot more. Watch, is a will probably trade Murphy.

I wish they would get rid of some of their "veteran" guys and bring some of the guys from the minors who have potential some experience. Santana can go. Rayburn can go. Moss can go. Murphy can go. However, I have no idea who would want these guys if they are in their right mind. Bourn and Swisher we are stuck with unless there is a real fool out there.

Maybe the Reds and Tribe just swap 40 man rosters every 3 years or something?

Give us a chance to grow to hate new players, makes less than a fuck to the competitive teams of MLB...why the fuck not?

I was wondering if anyone knew why Francona was let go by the Red Sox:huh: I have seen that he was a players manager and sometimes set is not a good thing as can be seen by the efforts this past weekend plus his reluctance to make changes when things are going bad.

Most kidding aside, the second WC spot has officially ruined baseball. They played a Kipnis soundbite this morning, where responding to "you all pretty much suck" he said basically "with the second WC you are never out of it", as if they will just magically go on a 3 week hot streak and be in position. It will spurn teams that go a generation or more of the same 70-80 win shitshow, because they will do nothing to improve their teams because they think they're still in it. Suck wholesale wad like the Astros? Then you build your farm system. But suck mostly like the Indians, and we will get what we have, pretty much forever.

Well, here's the thing about baseball...all you have to do is get hot at the right time and you can win a World Series if you make the post season. In recent history, you had the Cardinals win a WS in '06 after winning 83 friggin' regular season games, and going a shitty 8-14 in the last month of the season. Last years champs won 88 games and were hovering just above .500 in August. So, while it probably does water down the postseason a little, it also makes it more exciting, as teams that are limping along 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the season still have something to play for.

That said, this team has nothing left to play for. They're a smudge of shit riding on a piece of toilet paper down the toilet of the American League. Fuck them.

At least the Tigers suck, too.
